Ubisoft’s Rocksmith received critical acclaim on its release in 2011, though there was certainly room to improve the guitar playing learning tool/music-based videogame.
Step forward, Rocksmith 2014 which has been tweaked to enhance the experience and make it more intuitive for beginners and expert guitar players to use. The new version will also include 50 new songs and a new Session mode, which looks incredibly good fun.
The suite of tools allows players to create a band to play alongside them. The A.I. musicians in the band follow your tempo and your tone to dynamically adjust its play-style. If this works as well as it did at the behind-the-scenes demo at E3, then music fans have a lot to look forward to.
