DiveKick is the world’s first two-button fighting game and unlike any other fighter we’ve played at E3 this year.
A Dive and a Kick button allows you to control the fighters and all of the usual move, dodge and evade movements. Despite its apparent simplicity though, DiveKick has a surprising amount of depth as you hustle for position in the arenas and try and outdo your opponent through movement and counter-attacks rather than a flurry of kicks and punches.
To make things more interesting there are special moves that you can initiate to give you an advantage, such as kickback which allows you to move faster. The beauty of Divekick may be lost somewhat among the flurry of fancy-looking titles at E3, but if you’re into fighting games and are looking for a new and unique challenge, then Divekick is really going to surprise you.
