Next week Borderlands 2 is getting its fourth campaign DLC, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, and it’s proving to be more than just extra missions.
Tiny Tina, one of the game’s most notable characters, controls this Dungeons and Dragons inspired world. She changes landscapes and NPCs on a whim, all while her voice booms as though she were a god, which essentially she is DLC. However, this fluidly-changing environment and fantasy-inspired world is not all that’s being introduced.
The Borderlands games are often associated with having outrageous weapons and lots of them. In this DLC it’s no different. In fact they’ve added some even crazier loot than usual. Thanks to MP1st, images have shown up depicting a menagerie of weaponry that will be available in the upcoming add-on. As shown in the pictures, all items are only usable in Dragon Keep and have characteristics inspired by the fantasy genre. For example, the grenades shown have names of common spells, like “Fireball” and “Lightning Bolt” and slowly regenerate ammo over time to mimic mana.
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will be released on June 25 for $9.99 and available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
