A collaboration between SCE Japan Studio and Mark Cerney, who has design expertise spanning over two decades with franchises such as Ratchet & Clank, Crash Bandicoot and Resistance, Knack immediately caught our eye at E3.

Knack is an accessible action platformer with a firm focus on fun rather than complexity. This PS4 launch title is extremely addictive and playing as a tiny robot character that can grow or shrink by smashing up parts of the environment is visually impressive, showing off some superb particle effects that showcase the power of the PS4.

The melee-style combat is simple but a lot of fun as you conjure up balls of energy, transform into a whirlwind and send shockwaves through the ground to take down enemies. Knack is going to bring an old-school gaming experience with a next-gen visual twist to PS4 and it’s shaping up to be a game that deserves to be in any gamer’s collection at launch.
