Lightning Returns confirmed for February 2014, E3 trailer unveiled

Square Enix has unleashed the official E3 trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for your consumption.

In addition, the publishing giant also confirmed that the RPG sequel will be released in European territories in February 2014 – Valentine’s Day, to be precise. We presume this will be the case for the U.S., too.

As the third and final entry in the FFXIII narrative, Lightning Returns sees the eponymous heroine make a return to the scene after previously heading up the original FFXIII. Lightning will boast over 20 costumes in the game, and will be guided by Hope via cellphone.

Lightning Returns will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
