Team ICO’s long-delayed The Last Guardian could finally be showing its face after a lengthy hiatus at E3 next week.
That’s at least according to a listing on the official E3 2013 website, which indicates that console maker Sony is due to unveil a fresh trailer on the elusive boy-meets-griffin-beast romp.
Magazine companion E3 Insider posted all the details here. Note that it still lists the game for release on PlayStation 3, though we wouldn’t at all be surprised if development had been shifted to PS4 by this time – especially if recent rumors are anything to go by.
The Last Guardian made its debut appearance at E3 four years ago, and hasn’t really done much since. Creator Fumito Ueda departed Sony and continued to work in a freelance capacity on the project in late 2011, and it was also claimed that additional help was brought over in the shape of Sony Santa Monica.
The Last Guardian is Team ICO’s first original project since 2005’s Shadow of the Colossus.
