There are a lot of reasons why someone might want to check out a guide like T Dub Sanders'. One might be interested in the underside of the game testing field. Others might just want to know what they can gain from a guide that is written to help people understand their role in the gaming industry. Others still are just pining for that ultimate career working alongside game developers and designers.

Whatever the reason, T Dub Sanders has put together one of the biggest and best game testing guides on the market – one that shows the underpinnings of the career in their raw, real format. There are no false promises of automatic testing or sitting at home and playing the newest games for hundreds of dollars a day.

That stuff is all pretty much a pipe dream and most people know it – yet many guide writers try to tell everyone that they can become the biggest and best new game testers in a field that doesn't really exist every day and too many fall for it. On the other hand, what T Dub has put together is a much more realistic, much more comprehensive look at what game testing is really about – the hard work and dedication that goes into becoming someone in charge of all that code each day.

By showing what it really takes to be a game tester, T Dub opens up an actual, realistic path to getting into the industry. He showcases skills needed to get started as a tester, the classes or college majors that people better be willing to invest in if they want to be a professional in this field and much more to help them figure out not only if the career path is right for them but if they are going to be cut out for it. That means a great deal for someone who may or may not know exactly what a game tester does and how it operates.

For anyone that is thinking about taking the path toward becoming a game tester, one of the first things that needs to be done is to learn more about what the career entails. Those people should pick up T Dub's newest guide and get a real insider's look at the job and how it really works. If you're serious about doing what T Dub shows you, you'll be on the fast track toward game testing in no time flat.

Sony’s PlayStation 3-exclusive The Last of Us has debuted at the top of the U.K. All Format Charts.

Developed by Naughty Dog, the critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic adventure title beat off competition from 3DS title Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and arrives in stores off the back of a tidal wave of perfect 10s.

The Last of Us is the third biggest-selling launch in the U.K. so far this year, following on from Tomb Raider and BioShock: Infinite. It also had the best debut for a new IP since L.A. Noire in 2011.

Elsewhere, GRID 2 suffers a puncture and falls to third, Tomb Raider survives at four and FIFA 13 has a kick-about at five.

See below for the full Top 20.

1. The Last Of Us
2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
3. Grid 2
4. Tomb Raider
5. Fifa 13
6. Injustice: Gods Among Us

9. Luigi’s Mansion 2
10. Assassin’s Creed III

12. Rugby Challenge 2: Lions Tour Edition
13. Lego Batman 2: Dc Super Heroes
14. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II

U.K. Charts: GRID 2 holds off Remember Me

The latest Chart-Track data has confirmed that GRID 2 has held onto pole position on the U.K. All Format Charts this week, despite a 50 per cent drop in sales.

The racer held off competition from Capcom’s Remember Me, with the memory-manipulating sci-fi adventure debuting in third place.

The ubiquitous FIFA 13 remains a chart staple in second, while The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim peaked at four thanks to the new Legendary Edition. Sadly for Insominac Games, Fuse has dropped completely out of the Top 40.

Far Cry 3 rounds out the Top Five. Check out the full chart below.

1. Grid 2 (Codemasters)
2. FIFA 13 (EA)
3. Remember Me (Capcom)
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
5. Far Cry 3 (Ubisoft)
6. Dead Island: Riptide (Deep Silver)
7. Tomb Raider (Square Enix)
8. Luigi’s Mansion 2 (Nintendo)
9. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (Nintendo)
10. Assassin’s Creed 3 (Ubisoft)

GRID 2 has topped the U.K. All Format Charts following its launch last week, the latest Chart-Track data has confirmed.

The Codemasters racer sold 29 per cent less than the original game in terms of launch week sales, though still managed to dethrone last week's no.1, Resident Evil: Revelations.

Nonetheless, the game had a much better opening than Fuse; the Insomniac buddy shooter barely made a dent at 37.

Check out the full Top Ten below.

1. GRID
2. FIFA 13
3. Dead Island: Riptide
4. Far Cry 3
5. Resident Evil: Revelations
6. Assassin’s Creed 3
7. Metro: Last Light

Elsewhere, FIFA 12 scores second place and boots Metro: Last Light down to third, while Dead Island: Riptide and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D round out the Top Five.

See below for a full chart round-up.

U.K. Charts: Metro: Last Light topples Dead Island

Publisher Deep Silver has scored another no.1 hit on the U.K. All Format Charts with Metro: Last Light.

The game’s success follows on from Dead Island: Riptide, which falls to no.2 following Last Light’s debut.

Interestingly, the post-apocalyptic shooter didn’t fare as well as its predecessor in terms of first-week sales. Metro 2033 managed more despite the fact it only debuted at 5 back in 2010, and was only released for PC and Xbox 360.

Check out the full Top Ten below.

1. Metro: Last Light (Koch Media)
2. Dead Island: Riptide (Koch Media)
3. FIFA 13 (EA)
4. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Infinity (Nintendo)
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Activision)
6. Tomb Raider (Square Enix)
7. The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)
8. Injustice: Gods Among Us (Warner Bros)
9. Assassin’s Creed III (Ubisoft)
10. BioShock Infinite (2K Games)
