Sony has confirmed that the playable demo of Gran Turismo 6 is now available for test drive via the PlayStation Network.

Structured like a training session in the GT Academy format, the demo sees gamers picking up the skills necessary to net the fastest lap time possible.

The Silverstone circuit is also featured, and forms part of the many new additions to Polyphony Digital’s latest racer. Prove your worth here and you’ll be able to unlock special bonus content.

Head over to the PSN Store now and download the teaser, which is labelled GT Academy 2013. This year’s GT Academy is open until July 28, and the demo will remain up for grabs until August 31.

GT6 is due out later this year exclusively for PlayStation 3.
