There are a lot of reasons why someone might want to check out a guide like T Dub Sanders'. One might be interested in the underside of the game testing field. Others might just want to know what they can gain from a guide that is written to help people understand their role in the gaming industry. Others still are just pining for that ultimate career working alongside game developers and designers.

Whatever the reason, T Dub Sanders has put together one of the biggest and best game testing guides on the market – one that shows the underpinnings of the career in their raw, real format. There are no false promises of automatic testing or sitting at home and playing the newest games for hundreds of dollars a day.

That stuff is all pretty much a pipe dream and most people know it – yet many guide writers try to tell everyone that they can become the biggest and best new game testers in a field that doesn't really exist every day and too many fall for it. On the other hand, what T Dub has put together is a much more realistic, much more comprehensive look at what game testing is really about – the hard work and dedication that goes into becoming someone in charge of all that code each day.

By showing what it really takes to be a game tester, T Dub opens up an actual, realistic path to getting into the industry. He showcases skills needed to get started as a tester, the classes or college majors that people better be willing to invest in if they want to be a professional in this field and much more to help them figure out not only if the career path is right for them but if they are going to be cut out for it. That means a great deal for someone who may or may not know exactly what a game tester does and how it operates.

For anyone that is thinking about taking the path toward becoming a game tester, one of the first things that needs to be done is to learn more about what the career entails. Those people should pick up T Dub's newest guide and get a real insider's look at the job and how it really works. If you're serious about doing what T Dub shows you, you'll be on the fast track toward game testing in no time flat.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate boxart outed

Amazon, notorious for releasing video game box art prematurely, has outed the packaging art for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for PlayStation Vita.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, releasing on October 25 alongside the PlayStation 3's Batman: Arkham Origins, is among one of the most highly-anticipated games for the handheld releasing this year. The Arkham series, created by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and given to developer Armature Studio for the handheld release, has become one of the most well-regarded franchises since it was first introduced with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009.

Share your thoughts on the box art in the comments below, or discuss it with our community.

PS4 Batman game confirmed? Kevin Conroy will voice Batman in 'new Arkham game,' 'not Arkham Origins'

You are here: Home » News » Batman: Arkham Origins » PS4 Batman game confirmed? Kevin...

Posted May 20th, 2013 at 17:14 EDT by Kyle Prahl1 Comments

Yesterday, we reported that storied voice actor Kevin Conroy had put to rest rumors of his non-involvement in Batman: Arkham Origins by announcing to fans at Dallas Comic-Con that he would, in fact, be voicing the Caped Crusader in the "next Arkham game." Well, actually, we noted that his words were ambiguous and could apply to a next-gen Arkham sequel, rather than Warner Bros. Montreal's current-gen prequel.

Looks like we called it! Conroy has confirmed over Twitter that he will be voicing Batman in an Arkham game that is not Arkham Origins. This comes alongside confirmation from numerous press outlets that Roger Craig Smith will be voicing the younger Dark Knight in Arkham Origins. Troy Baker will fill in for Mark Hamill as a younger Joker.

Are you glad to hear that another (probably Rocksteady-developed) Arkham game is in the works? Do you think it's headed for PlayStation 4? Sound off in the comments.

Kyle Prahl finally finished Arkham City a couple nights ago, and he's never been so excited for another Batman game. You can follow him on Twitter.

Batman: Arkham Origins gets full trailer, The Joker confirmed

You are here: Home » News » Batman: Arkham Origins » Batman: Arkham Origins gets full...

Posted May 20th, 2013 at 12:05 EDT by Mike Harradence0 Comments

Warner Montreal has lifted the curtains on the full debut trailer for superhero prequel Batman: Arkham Origins.

Check it out below.

Despite confusion surrounding Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy’s part in the proceedings, Ubisoft did reveal that Roger Craig Smith – of Assassin’s Creed II and Resident Evil 5 fame – will be voicing the Caped Crusader. Conroy, however, will still be taking part in the project, though his role remains unknown.

Also appearing in the game will be Troy Baker (BioShock: Infinite, The Last of Us), who voices The Joker.

If that wasn’t enough to float your boat, Warner continued its Batman blowout with a look at the game’s boxart, which we’ve included below.

Arkham Origins is due out on October 25 for PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
